Pat is having his knee replaced in Fort Wayne on this cold and snowy morning. We're all hoping that the outcome is great and that the pain is bearable. New knees seem to be in vogue in my circle of acquaintances and family. This one makes 3 in a week's time. Dad's 79th birthday was kind of lost in the shuffle from this county. I don't know if there were festivities the weekend prior (which would be my guess) I am buried in schoolwork for at least the next ten days. I'm making progress on my qualitative research. I feel that I have all the ingredients but instead of being a classically set 6 course meal, it's a stew pot with the various items chucked in there and swirling about with now order or priority. Stew is great, but this table doesn't have bowls, so I 'm going to have to get things sorted out soon. The banquet is Tuesday evening.
Pat did have an uneventful surgery and was able to chat, briefly, on the phone by 3:30pm. Still toughing it through the pain though as the meds are missing the mark. Here's hoping he can have a decent evening/night.
